Many things have happened since we returned from the Christmas break. If you have not heard yet, Hollis is walking!!! That is the biggest thing for us as a family that he is growing in all aspects and progressing fairly quickly compared to where he was in late November when he came to our house!
Around ABC things are going well! Josh Deerinwater came for 2 weeks and spoke during Spiritual Emphasis Week for the College. He spoke 8 times and focused on the Viral Gospel from Acts 1-11. It was a great encouragement for me, and the students had a very positive response to his preaching. May God be praised for using Josh to preach the Word and encourage the students and staff!
Sports at ABC are having a good semester. The netball team just finished their season (the first time ever that they have participated in a league) and are looking forward to playing more games against various teams. Men’s basketball just finished a warm up tournament and finished 2nd while the women’s team is training for the start of their season in mid-April. The soccer team made it to the 3rd round of the Presidential Cup, a nationwide tournament for all teams who want to enter. They went out in a penalty shootout in the mud. Volleyball have played a few matches and are looking forward to playing more!
Please pray for the students as midterm exams start Monday, March 26, and many students are trying to come up with tuition fees to pay off their balances. Also, pray for the sports department as we try to use sports as a means of ministry and figure out the best ways to reach out with the gospel of Christ. Pray also for us as we continue with the adoption process.
