Net distribution at Bright Vision

One of the many things Jeff's mom and step dad were able to do while being here is participate in the mosquito net distribution at Bright Vision. Bright Vision is managed by Kellen & Becca Hiroto, who are also ABC Missionaries and on furlough this year.
The nets were donated by a group of missionaries at ABC that held a net drive. The drive was called Swim for Malaria. Each participant would enlist sponsors to donate per lap or to donate a set amount of kwacha or donate a general amount of nets. The kwacha raised was used to buy the nets. Many ministries benefitted from this net drive, Bright Vision being one of them. The group of people that held the Swim for Malaria have since gone home, so they were unable (obviously) to be a part of the distribution.

While it's not currently malaria season, the children are still able to have a net and potentially use it when rainy season starts in December. Many times the nets are used for other things, but this day the children were educated on how to properly use the net.
